NEW YORK MARKET-WHAT'S HOT NOW!

We just returned from market in exciting New York City, where the weather was ideal and the shopping just as glorious! In fact, the home furnishing industry has never looked so plush. Starting at the Oly Showroom, where we found luxurious new textiles, like this misty lavender velvet fabric shown on Oly's Michael chair.

Oly's antique mirror Grayson drum pendant was a scene stealer with plenty of sparkle and shimmer (below). The Flower Drop Pendant (upper right), is one of Oly's newest chandelier's. It's made of cast resin and is available in wonderful colors, including amber, blush, frost white, clear and plum. We're dying to see it in plum (shown here in amber).
You have to love the bird bowl, great as a table centerpiece. And Oly's new circle faux zebra lamps are a fun take on an old standby.
Meanwhile, Shine offered fantastic high style, bling!

Check out these exciting new pillows, very edgy.

There were even crystals on the back of chairs.

The creative power behind all these amazing designs...Susan Ortiz (Left),
owner/designer of Shine. What a treat it was to meet her, after all she's a celebrity in our world. We love all of Shine's new products, including this sofa made of hemp fabric.

And new works by Madeline Longstreet of Longstreet Collection were marvelous.

But all good trips must come to an end. It was farewell to the wonderful views from the incredible Trump International Hotel on Columbus Circle. But at least we returned to our loving families full of energy and inspiration...ready to take on the world! For more information on these products contact Tonic Home at 440-893-9800.

Amie's Happy Chic Home is a Winner

We were so excited to hear from Tonic Home shopper Amie and about the recent contest she has entered. PointClickHome.com has teamed up with Jonathan Adler and created the "Happy Chic Home" contest.
Readers are invited to submit photos of their homes that they feel represent a happy and chic style. Tonic Home shopper Amie submitted pictures of her home and was chosen as Submission #3. We are so excited for Amie and are thrilled to see some of our very own products in the photos!
Over on the right of the bed, by the window, can be found the Jacqui 3-Drawer Chest from Bungalow 5. Such a great choice for this bedroom and the color really adds that touch of happy that the judges are looking for. We are loving that wallpaper and those drapes! What a great combination that shows real personality. This photo is not on the contest site, but one we had from Amie. Here you can see the Jacqui Chest a little better. What a fun piece of furniture, that really holds it's own in this fantastic room. Can I come and visit Amie? Of course, this is the room that I would like to stay in.
The photo above shows the Jenson Brass Wall Lamp in Amie's dining area. Such a stylish and smart choice of lighting that doesn't take up precious space, yet provides just the right amount of illumination for this intimate room. The touch of whimsy found in the arch of the arm plays right into the design on the backs of the iron chairs. So our vote is that #3 is the winner! We aren't biased at all, we just know great design. Good Luck Amie!

Gift with Purchase from Tonic Home

So we started this great little "Gift with Purchase" program back in May and it seems that Tonic Home shoppers are loving it! So much that we've decided to continue the program and are having a ball coming up with our Free Gifts to hand out to our faithful shoppers. For the month of August (or until supplies run out), we are giving away, for FREE, the stylish "Sparkle Gift Set" to all those whose orders total $650 or more.
Easily one of our most popular items at Tonic Home, the Sparkle Gift Set includes the Calculator, Tape Dispenser and Stapler, valued at $95.00. It's a celebration of "Back to School" and our desire to get our own lives organized. Having a desk that looks good, always helps me want to be there and actually get things done. So we hope you enjoy this month's Gift. Keep in mind, these are only while they last, so if you are thinking about this, don't wait too long. Of course if we run out, we'll come up with something else fabulous, but these are getting quite the feedback from all of you out there. As always, thank you for your business and supporting Tonic Home.

Ann Sacks Tile - a History of Beauty

Anyone who has done a bathroom or kitchen renovation in the past 20 years or so, knows Ann Sacks Tile extremely well. This is the tile company we turn to when we want something different and truly fantastic. Am I right?
photo above from Jim Clark - Portland Tribune
In 1980, while shopping for a wedding dress, Ann Sacks discovered a box of Mexican Talavera tiles being sold as trivets. These tiles inspired her to start her own company. After 28 years, the journey has gone from trivets to becoming the industry leading provider of luxury tile, stone and plumbing. All we can say is, thank goodness she went shopping for that wedding dress!
Take one look at the Ann Sacks website and you will be there for hours. After finding bathroom after bathroom that I was certain was the "look for me", I finally decided that I love them all and favorites should be shared. Above is "Aria" on the left and "Profile" on the right. I think Profile would be a great look in a guest bath and I like Aria for my master bath.
These two above are both Erin Adams - left is "Mosaic" and right is "Triple Basketweave". The designs are mesmerizing and the varying colors in each, make them chic and sophisticated.
Another Mosaic on the left, this one is "Cartman Border" and the right is "Beaulieu". The Grey Mix on the right and that steam shower just scream to be installed in a top Day Spa.
"Selvaggio" mosaic on the left and "Selene" slab on the right. They are all inspiring, how do you choose? Ann Sacks asks the question, "How do you want your bathroom to feel?" It's the question that lies at the very heart of what they do. Since everyone has a different answer to that question, it's a good thing they have created many beautiful designs. For extreme tile design fulfillment, I highly recommend www.annsacks.com. For extreme home decor fulfillment, I highly recommend www.tonichome.com. Both are addictive!
